Hello to my dear Rachel!! I'm praying for you everyday, and I can't wait to see how God uses you over these next days! I've discovered that picking up my phone to call you basically whenever I have a thought has become quite a problematic habit now that you are gone. Anyways, you are in my prayers and I love you so much. Remember, no matter how hard your task may be, nothing is impossbe with God. He's by your side each and every moment of every single day. Birthday Girl: Harry and I are on the bed, resting up after a long morning walk. (That's him snoring.) Apparently, your birthday present got delivered here: Morning Sunshine! We went the long way today, down to the playground and then all along the lake. No bull frogs, but by the dam I spotted one of the Snowy Egrets, in perfect relief against the greenery of the far bank. It wasn't with its mate, but I know they'll be together again soon. I love you, Cynthia Ann Holm Henry III. --Don

They were still teary at times throughout the day and a lot of "how many more days?" About to use treadmill - watching Ocean's 11 - thank you again. Watch the shoulder. Love you, K

I just wanted to extend a sign of my support and encouragement for the team as they prepare this year. I have heard of your ministry from Dave S. in one of his concerts at a lock-in that I worked at my campus. I live in an area that has a very high concentration of Bosnians and some of my dearest friends are indeed from Bosnia. Many of my friends are Muslim and in quiet, rural Iowa it took me a while to figure out how that affected my life. In retrospect, I know it has taught me to love like i've never lov

as those of us at home celebrated the anniversary of our country's declaration for independence from tirany more than 200 hundred years ago, i pray we remembered acutely that you have voluntarily made servants of yourselves for the weak and the meek, far from your homes, so that others might know some peace and freedom from tirany today, on God's earth, in God's name. As I write this, you all are preparing to return to the US. Never underestimate the good work that you're doing in Bosnia - and remember that lives have been changed because of what you do. I took my dad (visiting from Arkansas)to the Bosnian cafe today for lunch, and Alma told me that this is the weekend that almost 1000 people from Kozarac are gathering in Chicago for a reunion. Through Alma, these people have heard your story, and they also know that you have heard theirs. Peace, Donna

It was rather surprising to realize the smiliarities between what was happening with us and what were were experiencing in LA and what it was like last year in Bosnia (as far as relationship building, tensions, prejudices, social injustice, etc.) I hope this second week is going great, that energy is still high, injury & sickness is down

Hi Mike and Amanda: I tried to post this message twice yesterday, but it didn't go through. Sunday's devotions dealt with the importance of "welcomes." It made me think about the mythology course I used to teach and the ancient "Laws of Hospitality" which sprang from the belief that strangers might be gods in disguise, and therefore should be treated with the utmost respect. Maybe they had it right. You servants are the face and hands of God for the children and adults of Bosnia as you

Hey Mark Rossman - I found a dried-out lime while I was cleaning out my fridge last night and thought of you! I'm keeping it as a talisman until you all are back safe. Bonjour to Ed Nace -you are great! Hope you got to relax in Rama. Larry and Scott - if you do a good job, there's more chili and water ice for you back at our house. Lauren - the kids want you to come over and play baseball again! Love to all the team!

I hope everyone is holding up well with all the work you are doing. Hopefully, your weather isn't quite as humid as it is here. Daddy is having a great time with his "bike". He scoots around to all the schools and loves the freedom. I love my van...:). We are leaving for CT on Wednesday morning and will return on Sunday afternoon...plenty of time to come get you in Newark.Yeah!!!!!!!!! Max is chewing on a pigs ear. We are looking forward to your return. Be safe. We love you.

Hey Son! Into the second week already. Weather here is cloudy and not that warm. Still haven't opened our pool. Too expensive to heat (your father's words). Keeping busy weeding the garden - no animals got into it while we were in Sedona. Many lettuce plants. LOT of zucchini and tomatoes to come. Our love and prayers are with all for a great experience and....... "share the love". Gave the website to the ladies at St. Luke's. Hope they're viewing it to see where pillows have gone. Love

Karen and Christian, My ears and heart are prepared for wondrous stories of hope and love. How fortunate we all are here! How fortunate the children of Bosnia are that you have touched their lives and lifted their spirits. You are an instrument of His peace. May the sun shine warmly upon your faces!
